David retired from the US Army as a Lieutenant Colonel and, being an 82nd Division man, has over a hundred-fifty parachute jumps under his belt. He also has more than 25 years of proven success in the management of International, FMS, and Direct Commercial Sales as well as Domestic aviation programs. Eric, also a retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel, served in a multitude of capacities over his twenty-plus years in the Army. He has experience consulting for education, leadership, and team performance development. Along with his current position as North East Director for FourBlock, Eric has a passion for supporting fellow veterans through organizations such as the Greater Philadelphia Veterans Network and the Delaware Valley Veterans Consortium. Both these gentlemen serve with me on the executive board of our local Association of the United States Army chapter, and I can personally attest to their willingness to serve others. Dr. Paul McCullough had an opportunity to interview Mr. Robert Bowyer and Colonel (Retired) Steve Miska. Robert served multiple tours in combat and shared how his faith and local Church have helped him through difficult times. He also explained how his non-profit, Operation Black Sheep, helps Vietnam Veterans find hope and healing. Steve Miska, also a combat veteran, recounted the incredible experiences he had on Active Duty, including work on the National Security Council for President Obama and building an underground railroad in Afghanistan. Steve continues to serve others through his First Amendment Advocacy, as well as his business focused on servant leadership. This is one episode that will truly make you appreciate Veterans Day and the sacrifice millions of veterans have made for our country.

Justin is presently the CEO/Executive Director of Keystone Mission, a faith-based homeless rescue shelter in the Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, PA area. Justin is a veteran who faced combat in Iraq and also served at the detention center in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Currently, COL Davis serves as the director of admissions at Penn State University. He is also a member of the Army Reserves and has dedicated his life to serving others.

On Episode 27 of Serving Our Nation, I had the honor of bringing two gentlemen onto the show who both served in the US Army. Bill Kaemmer joined the United States Army in 1989 and attended basic training at Fort Dix, New Jersey. Upon graduation, he attended Advanced Individual Training to become a chaplain assistant at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. Bob Thomas is a lifelong mentor and friend of mine. He joined East Stroudsburg University's (ESU) tenure-track faculty in 2019, with 26 years of college and university administration experience and four years of full-time faculty teaching experience. Bob served in public accounting with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) in their Philadelphia office for five years, prior to his career in higher education. Bob is a veteran who retired from the Pennsylvania Army National Guard in 2004 at the rank of Major after 23 years of service.
